I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 10:02 a.m,  on Tuesday,  February 21,   1956,  pursuantto Minute XXII,   January 18,   1956,   and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each Trustee by the Assistant Secretary on January 30,   1956:
In accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees at the meeting held January.18,. 1956,  there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Tuesday, February 21, 1956,   convening at 10:00 a.m.   CST   in the Trustees' Room of the Execu¬ tive Building of the University in order to:
1. Receive,  open,   consider  and act upon bids for:.
a. Completion of the Home Economics Building,
b. Residence Halls "H2"  and'H3",   and
2. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL,
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 10:02 a, na.    All members of the Board were present as follows:    Mrs.  Brayton,   Messrs,  Hanley,   Kettler, Lynn,   McAllister,   Morton,   Thompson and Wilson.    Also present were President Hovde,   Treasurer Stewart,   Assistant Treasurer and Business Manager Freehafer, Assistant Business Manager Gabbard,  Legal Assistant Lowe,  Legal Counsel Schilling,   and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
III. MEMORIAL RESOLUTION FOR MR. E.  D.  ANDERSON.
President Hanley presented the following Resolution for adoption as a memorial to Mr.  Edward D,  Anderson,   Hammond,   Indiana,   Trustee of Purdue University from 1951 until his death on February 18,   1956:
WHEREAS,  Edward D, Anderson,   an Alumnus of Purdue and a distinguished member of the Board of Trustees,   has been called by death from our midst,   and,
WHEREAS, his passing leaves us the memory of a life well lived for high purposes and in fine accomplishments and because he was respected and admired by all who knew him.
