I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
!i The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in
i; stated annual meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue :i University at 8:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. CDT) on Wednesday, October 19, 1955, pur- ;! suant to the following notice sent to each Trustee by the Secretary on :l September 28, 1955:
In accordance -with the provisions of the By-Laws, there -will be an annual meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday, October 19, 1955, convening at 8:30 a.m. CST.(9:30 a.m. CDT), in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to: .
1. Elect officers of the Board for the biennium 1955-1957;
!! 2. Consider and act upon amendments to the By-Laws of The
Trustees of Purdue University;
3. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for Herrick Labora- j tory;
4. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which naay come before said meeting.
i n. ROLL CALL.
I President Hanley called the meetingto order at 8:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. CDT).
: All members of the Board except one were present as follows: Mrs. Brayton, ! Messrs. Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, McAllister, Morton, Thompson and Wilson. ]¦ The absence of Mr. Anderson was excused by consent of theBoard. Also present i were President Hovde, Treasurer Stewart, Assistant Treasurer and Business
Manager Freehafer, Assistant Business Manager Gabbard, Legal Assistant I Lowe, Secretary Hockema and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
1 President Hanley welcomed Mr. McAllister as a new member of the Board.-
IIL APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES i; HELD JULY 27, 1955.
Secretary Hockema reported that the minutes of the special meeting of the I Board of Trustees held July 27, 1955, had been sent to each Trustee, and that no suggestion or correction had been received from any Trustee.
After discussion and upon motion (Lynn-Thompson) unanimously carried, the minutes of the Board meeting held July 27, 1955, were approved.
