I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
March 10, 1954
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Bviilding of Purdue Uniyersity at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 1954, pursuant to the action of the Board on February 26, 1954, Minutes III and VII, and further pursuant to the folio-wing notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on March 2, 1954:
In accordance with the action of the Board of Trustees at the meeting held February 26, 1954, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday, March 10, 1954, convening at 10:30 a.m. in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to:
1. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for the sale of Student
Unions-Hall of Music Bonds of 1964 in the amount of $10, 250, 000. 00,
2. Consider and act upon new appointments, and
3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business which may come
before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. All members of the Board except one were present as follows: Mrs. Crooks, Messrs. Anderson, Branigin, Hanley, Kettler, Lynn, Thompson and Wilson. The ab¬ sence of Mr. Teetor was excused by consent. Also present were President Hovde, Treasurer Ste-wart. Assistant Treasurer Kettler, Comptroller Freehafer, Attorneys Harry T. Ice (Ross, McCord, Ice and Miller, Indianapolis, Indiana) and George T. Schilling (University Legal Counsel), Secretary Hockema and Assistant Secretary Skinner.
IIL ANNOUNCEMENT OF HONOR AWARD FOR MR, A. W, KETTLER,
President Hanley read a clipping from the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette under date of March 5, 1964, naming Mr, Kettler, Trustee, "Fort Wayne's Man of the Year" for 1953, The selection is carried out annually under the auspices of Fort Wayne Council 212, United Commercial Travelers. Mem¬ bers of the Board expressed their feliclations to Mr, Kettler on his selection for this honor.
