The Board of Trustees of Purdue University met at 9:50 A. M. on Octo¬ ber 18, 1955, in Eliza Fowler Ha^l, in accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws and pursuant to the following notice mailed by the Secretaiy to each member of the Board on October 5, 1955:
"In accordance with the By-Laws, there will be a regular meet¬ ing of the Board of Trustees at 9:50 A, M., Wednesday, October 18, 1933, in Eliza Fowler Hall".
There were present; Mrs. Meredith, Messrs Edgerton, Hall, Hillenbrand, Kimbrough, Lilly, Noel, Simpson, President Ross and the President of the University,
President Ross presided and the Secretaiy acted as secretary.
Controller Stewart was present during the afternoon session.
President Elliott called attention to the dinner to be given by the Caiy Club at six o'clock and the reception at the Purdue Memorial Union to be given by the University Club, ?/ednesday evening, both in honor of the Trustees of the University,
