I.    NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University con¬ vened in special meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 11:03 a.m.   on Wednesday,   December 14,   I960, pursuant to action of the Board of Trustees on October 28,   I960,   and further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on November 23,   I960:
In accordance with action of the Board of Trustees at a meeting held October 28,   I960,   there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University con¬ vening at 11:00 a.m.   CDT on Wednesday,   December 14,   I960, in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to:
1. Honor members of the Lilly family whose name
is to be perpetuated on the Life Science Building in recognition of gifts of self and substance to Purdue University throughout the years; and  .
2. Consider and act upon any other business which may
come before said meeting.
n.    ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 11:03 a. m.    All members of the Board except one were present as follows:   Mrs.   Van Ness, Messrs.   Creighton,   Hanley,   Kettler,   Schenck,   Thompson and Wilson. The absence of Mr.  Branigin was excused by consent of the Board.    Also present were President Hovde,  Assistant Treasurer Freehafer,   Counsel Schilling,  Executive Dean Mallett,  Assistant Business Manager Linn, Assistant to the President Hicks,  Assistant to the Treasurer Gabbard, Legal Assistant Lowe,  Assistant Morris and Secretary Skinner.    Mr. T.  R.   Johnston,   Bureau of Information,   and Mr.   Frank Arganbright and Mr.   William Freyberg of the Lafayette Journal and Courier were also in attendance.
m.    BIRTHDAY FELICITATIONS.
President Hovde extended the birthday good wishes of all present to President Hanley on the occasion of his 74th birthday on December 13, and to Mr.   Wilson when he learned that December 13 was his birthday, too.    General discussion followed of the number of grandchildren in the family of each Trustee.
