STATED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF^

Executive Building January 17-18, 1962
I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in stated meeting in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue Uni¬ versity at 9'.35 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 1962, pursuant to notification of the Trustees on October 27, 1961, eind further pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on December 27, 1961:
In accordance with provisions of the By-Laws and pursuant to notification of the Board of Trustees on October 27, 1961, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Wednesday, January 17, 1962, convening at 9:30 a.m. CDT, in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University in order to:
1. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for Steam
Absorption Unit No. 2;
2. View broadcasts of Midwest Program, Airborne Tele¬
vision Instruction; and
3. Consider and act upon any other matter or business
which may become before said meeting.
IL ROLL CALL.
President Hanley called the meeting to order at 9:35 a.m. All members of the Board were present as follows: Mrs. Vogler, Messrs. Branigin, Creighton, Hanley, Kettler, Rumely, Schenck, Thompson and Wilson. Also present were President Hovde, Vice President and Treasurer Freehafer, Counsel Schilling, University Vice Presidents Chenea, Mallett and Young, Assistant Treasurer Finn, Executive Assistant to the President Hicks, Legal Assistant Lowe, Dr. Powers, Vice President of Purdue Re¬ search Foundation, Assistant Morris and Secretary Skinner. Mr. T. R. Johnston, Bureau of Information, and Mr. Frank Arganbright of the Lafayette Journal and Courier were also in attendance.
President Hovde reviewed the full schedule for the day, noted the TV sets installed in the Trustees' Room for viewing MPATI telecasts later in the morning, and suggested that a Trustees' Executive Session be convened as soon as possible after 4:00 p.m. in order to conclude Trustees' business in ample time for the University Club dinner and reception to be held Wednesday evening.
