Is_   NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 1948, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on May 20, 1948:
In accordance with the provisions of the %-Laws, there will be a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Uni¬ versity on Saturday, June 12, 1948, convening at 10:00 a,m, (DST) in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to consider and act upon any matter or business that may come before said meeting,
II. ROLL CALL.
President Stuart called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. All members of the Board except one were present as follows: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs, Calland, Cole, Hanley, O'Brien, Sherwood, Stuart, and Thompson, Mr, Ljmn's absence, be¬ cause of urgent business elsewhere, was excused by consent. Also present were President Hovde, Controller Stewart, Assistant Controller Kettler, Secretary Hockema, and Assistant Secretary Skinner,
III. OPENING OF BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION.
At 10:05 a.m, the following entered the meeting: Mr. H. B. Abbett, Purchasing Agent, Mr, B. T. Hamilton, Superintendent of Physical Plant, Mr. W. C, Kashner, Assistant Superintendent, Physical Plant, Mr. W. Wade, Mechanical Engineer, Physical Plant, and Mr. N. D. Miller, Superintendent of Power Plant, Professor J. Hj. Martin, and representatives of the companies submitting bids on the fol¬ lowing projects:
1) Deep Wells, Deep Well Pumps and Pump House
2) Poultry Breeding and Brooder Houses Nos. 5, 6, and 7. Controller Stewart read the names of those subnitting bids as follows:
All bids having been received. Controller Stewart proceeded to open and read the bids in the presence of the bidders in accordance with the published notice.
After all bids had been opened and read aloud, the bidders were excused, and University staXf maabers retired to prepare a tabulation of bids.
