Ij_ NOTICE OF LSEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened at 9:05 a.m., Wednesday, March 12, 1947, in the Trustees* Room of the Executive Building of the University, pursuant to the following notice sent to each member of the Board by the Secretary on March 4, 1947:  . • .
The President has instructed me to notify you that there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Uni¬ versity on Wednesday, March 12, 1947, convening at 9:00 a.m. in -fhte Tms-s tees» Room of the Executive Building of the University in order to:
1) Hear, consider and take such action, if any, as may be deemed appropriate respecting the report of "the committee appointed by the Govemor and the President of the Board to investigate the recent-tragedy at the Field House;
2) Consider and act upon any and all other matters connected with this unforttinate occurrence which may come before the meeting;
3) Consider and take appropriate action respecting the budget of the IMiversity as may be fixed by the present General Assembly;
4) Review any legislation of the present General Assembly vjhich relates to the University^
5) Consider matters pertaining to the Fort V/ayne Extension Center;
6) Consider the availability of a site for an Extension Center in Lake County;
7) Discuss plans for remodeling, repairs and new construction^
8) Transact any other business which may come before the meeting.
II. ADJOUPJJME^JT OF MEETING OF EXECUTIVE AND FINANCE COMLIITTEE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.
The Executive and Finance Committee of the Board of Trustees reconvened at the call Of President Stuart (See XIV (III), ADJOURNMH^IT). There being no further business the meeting VTas adjourned by consent.
III. ROLL CALL.
President Stuart called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. The following Trus¬ tees were present: Mrs. Van Ness, Messrs. Cole, Shenrood, Stuart, Thompson, and V/llson, constituting a majority and quorum. The absences of Messrs. Lynn, Hanley, and 0*Brien, due to illness, were excused by consent of the Board. Also present were President Hovde, Controller Stewart, Secretary Hockema, and Assistant Secre¬ tary Skinner.
