The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University convened at 10:00
|: a.m., Sa-turday, November 3, 1945, in the Trustees* Room of the Executive Building
; of the Universi-ty, pursuant to the following notice sent to each Trustee on
I October 18, 1945, by the Secretary:
i:        President Hillenbrand has instructed me to notify you that there will ;,    be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University onSaturday, November 3, 1945, convening at 10:00 a.m. in the Tmstees* Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to:
j        1, Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for the construction of an Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratoiy,
f        2. Receive, open, consider and act upon bids for the construction of Student Apar-tment Doimitories,
j;        3. Receivei open, consider and act upon bids for bonds to finance i: the Student Apartuent Dormitories,
I        4. Consider and act upon any other matter or business that may come |i before said meeting.
i     IIj_ ROLL CALL.
I    President Hillenbrand called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. The following j; Trustees were present: Messrs. Cole, Hanley, Hillenbrand, Lynn, Sherwood, Stuart, ,: Thompson and Wilson. By consent the Board excused -the absence of Miss McHale be- i cause of urgent business elsetiiere.

Also present were Acting President Potter, Controller Stewart, Secretary I Hockema and Assistant Secretary Skiimer.
III. OPENING OF BIDS FOR ANIMAL DISEASE DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY.
i    At -this time the following entered the meeting: Mr. R. T. Hamilton, Superin- ji tendeat of Physical Plaat, Mr. H. B. Abbett, Purchasing Agent, Mr. Walter Scholer, I' Architect, Mr. B, A, Devol, Uaiversi-ty legal couasel, aad represeatatives of the !' compaaies submitting bids for the constructioa of the Animal Disease Diagnostic ! Laboratory and the Student Apartments Doimitory and for the financing of the Student ': Apar-tments Dormitory.
Controller Stewart read the neimes of those submitting bids for the construction of the Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratoiy as follows:

' K. H, Kettelhuti,Lafayette, Indiana
i Pioneer Contract Company, Inc, Evansville, Indiana
All the bids having been received. Controller Stewart proceeded to read the '' bids in the presence of the bidders in accordance with the published notice.
