li I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
ii The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University coirvened in
ii the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University, Lafayette,
ji Indiana, on V/ednesday, April 17, 1940, at 9:30 A, M., pursuant to the following
i^ notice which had been sent to each member by the Secretary on March 27, 1940:

li In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will be a
I: stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of ^Purdue Univer-
|i sity, Wednesday and Thursday, April 17 and 18, 1940, convening in the
ji Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of the University, in order to
i': cjonsider and act upon any matter or business that m.ay come before said
j meeting.
I: Among the important items on the agenda for the meeting are:
i,
j 1. Consider and act upon any and all matters portaining to con-
} struction and financing of the several projects in the Univer-
I sity building program.

j^ 2. Consider the University budget for the fiscal year 1940-1941.
I 3. Consider and act upon any other matters or business that m.ay
I come before said m.eeting.
ii II. ROLL CALL.
; The meeting was called to order at 9:30 A. M. by President Ross. The fol- ! lowing Trustees were present: Miss McHale, Mr. Edgerton, Mr. Hall, Mr. Hillen- , brand, Mr. Ross, and Mr. Sturm, being a quoirum of the Board. Mr. V/heeler ' entered the meeting at 10:25 A. M., and Mr. Simpson at 11:30 A. M. Mr. Noel ; was absent.
; Dr. Edward C iSlliott, President of the University; Mr. R. B. Stev/art, i Controller of the University; and Frank C Hockema, Secretary to the Board, were also present.
III. READING OF NOTICE OF tlEETlNG. The notice of the meeting vras read hy the Secretary.
