STATED MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TRUSTEES OF PURDUE UNIVERSITY Executive Building January 16-17, 1940
I. NOTICE OF MEETING.
The Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue Universi-fcy convened in the Trustees' Room of the Executive Building of Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, on Tuesday, January 16, 1940, at 9:30 A. M.-, pursuant to the follow¬ ing notice sent to each member hy the Secretary on January 2, 1940:
In accordance with the provisions of the By-Laws, there will he a stated meeting of the Board of Trustees of The Trustees of Purdue University on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 16 and 17, 1940, convening at 9:30 A. M., on Tuesday in the Trustees* Room of the Executive Building of the Universi-fcy, in order to consider and act upon any matter or business that may come before said meeting.
II. ROLL CALL.
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 A, M. by President Ross. The following Trustees were present: Mr. Edgerton, Mr. Hall, Mr. Hillenbrand, Mr. Noel, Mr. Ross, Mr. Simpson, and Mr. Wheeler, being a quorum of the Board. ¦ Miss McHale and Mr. Sturm entered the meeting at 10:30 A, M.
Dr. Edward C. Elliott, President of the University, and Frank C Hockema, Secretary to the Board, were also present,
III. READING OF NOTICE OF I/IEETING.
' The notice of the meeting was read by the Secretary.
IV. LETTER OF ACKNOWLEDCaJIM' FROM MRS. JOHN F. G. MILLER. President Elliott reported that a letter had been received from Mrs.
John F. G. Miller acknovTledging the flowers from the Trustees at her husband's funeral. (Mr. John F. G. Miller, Purdue, M. E. 1903) Letter ordered filed.
