452 Opening Session Held in Auditori¬ um, Eliza Fov/ler Hall, -SPBG1ALJJE.CTTNG OF TOE BQARD-.OF TRUSTBES-OF PIIBDUE—UHIVERajaiYL Eliza Fowler Hall May 14, 1929 Rollcall Reading of the Minutea Deferred next Meeting to be held May 21, 1929. Opening and Read¬ ing of Bids for Construction etc. of Pharmaqy Build¬ ing, Unit I. Mechanical Engi¬ neering Building, Unit I, Chemistry Laboratoiy. In accordance with action taken at the meeting of April 10, 1929, the Board of Trusteea met in special session at 10:00 A. M., Tuesday. May 14, 1929, the time scheduled for receiving bids for the construction of the pro¬ posed Chemistry-, Pharmacy and Mechanical Engineerirg Buildings and of the ex¬ tensions to the underground tunnel system. In order to afford seating facilities for the numerous bidders in attendance, the moming session was held in the auditorium of Eliza Fowler Hall. There v/ere present: Mr. Edgerton, Mr. Hall, Mr. Hillenbrand, Mr. Lilly, Mrs. Meredith, Mr. Noel (after 2:00 P.M.), Mr. Ross, Mr. Simpson, and the President of the University. President Ross presided and the Secretary acted as secretary. Controller Stev/art sat with the Board during the entire session. Con¬ struction Superintendent Hamilton, Architect Walter Scholer, and Building Superintendent C. D. Bushnell were present during the opening and reading of the bids. By consent the reading of the minutes of the meeting of April 10, 1929 was deferred until the next meeting of the Board. Upon motion of Mr. Hillenbrand, carried unanimously, the Board decided to meet at 10:00 A.M., May 21, 1929, to ccnsider the several bids and, if possible, to av/ard contracts. L^ OPENING AND READ DIG OF BIDS. President Ross announced to the bidders that the Board would remain in continuous session until all bids received had been opened and read, and that the Board v/ould meet at 10:00 A. M., on Tuesday.
