1953 CORN HYBRID DEMONSTRATIONS RESULTS
Conducted by County Agents and Farmers and Purdue University Agronomy Department
Yield averages for Indiana and several Ohio, Connecticut, Iowa and A.E.S. hybrids eligible to Indiana Cert. & marked C., and cl, ped. hybrids designated from Exp. Sta. tests for these demonstrations and some Purdue Experimentals designated as Exp. are grouped by different sections of the state. All hybrids planted in each demonstration were replicated two times with grains planted per hill as indicated. Yields were computed on the basis of actual moisture determinations and are expressed in bushels per acre at 17.5 percent. moisture. Yields and moisture are averaged for all counties in a given district.
